FreeBSD(98) Mailing Lists

There are some mailing lists about FreeBSD(98). Please subscribe if you want to know more about FreeBSD(98).

Anyone can post a message to these lists, but common language is Japanese. However, posting in English is of cource OK.

You can track the developments in FreeBSD(98) by reading FreeBSD98-testers. It is for topics relating to FreeBSD(98)-current, -stable and -snapshot and for testing pre-release versions of FreeBSD(98) formerly only available to developers.

Posters to this list are required to

• be able to patch sources and configure kernels
• be patient with kernel problems, incluing panics
• be persistant in helping drive problems to a resolution

Note: Resditribution of the testers ML is restricted because

• FreeBSD(98) versions are similar to mainline FreeBSD
or
• some patches or sources posted to the list may not be open or freely redistributable.

In addition, all releases announced in this mailing list, and pointers to them, cannot be disclosed to the general public.
